Cookie policy
This page lists every cookie this website sets and what it is for. Only the cookies marked essential are used without asking you first.
Last updated 6 October 2026.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to work; others remember your choices or measure how a site is used. We also use your browser's local storage in the same way, so it is covered by this policy too.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject everything that is not essential, or choose. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the site works the same either way. Your choice is remembered for 12 months and you can change it at any time:
Cookies we set
Essential: always on
These make the website work and keep it secure. They are not used for advertising or tracking. Under the law they do not need your consent.
| Name | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
vaczip_travel_session | Keeps you signed in, holds the booking you are working on and the currency you picked for this visit. | Up to 2 hours after your last page |
XSRF-TOKEN | A security token that stops other websites from submitting forms on your behalf. | Up to 2 hours |
vy_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page. It contains only your yes or no answers. | 12 months |
remember_web_… | Only if you tick "Remember me" when signing in: keeps you signed in on this device. | About 13 months |
Preferences: only if you allow them
These remember choices on this device so you do not have to make them again.
| Name | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
vy_currency | Remembers the currency you chose for showing prices, on your next visit. It holds only a three-letter currency code. | 12 months |
vy_recent (local storage) | Remembers the properties you recently viewed so the home page can show them to you. It never leaves your device. | Until you clear your browser data |
Analytics: off unless you accept
We do not currently run any analytics or advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, it will stay switched off until you accept it in the cookie banner, and this page will say which service we use.
Advertising
We do not use advertising or social media tracking cookies.
Other services that see your visit
These do not set cookies on this website, but when a page loads them your browser contacts their servers, which means they receive your IP address and browser details:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) delivers the typefaces used on every page.
- OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org) delivers the map pictures on property pages and the map view.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies you will not be able to sign in or make a booking. See aboutcookies.org for instructions for each browser.
